Summer

Hi there my Friends.
As you know I started a mini using 7 Gypsies "Mykonos" papers about 2 weeks ago, and summer lethargy has kicked in....I could not seem to get down to completling it!!!
So I want to thank the team on Simon Syas Stamp and Show who jump started me into getting on with it....they want us to show them a word...so my word is SUMMER the title of my mini and the way I am feeling right now!

I am glad to say the mini is almost done, hopefully I will photograph it and video it tomorrow morning....I love minis with photos inside of them, they have soul!!
I would also like to let you know that tonight at 22H00 on Zeffy Scraps with Friends on USREAM I will be making another pin cushion....Join me,for a chat.

Pin Cushion

Hi there.
Today I want to share with you a project that I made late friday night.
A pin-cushion for my stick-pins. I used  glass box ,foam from some packaging,and a pice of velvet from some old track pants, as well as some enbroided tulle.

The week just flies by,we had a lovely week-end in Aegina.
Now its time to quickly show you another L.O. that I made on my USTREAM channel Zeffy Scraps with Friends
I used a photo taken of me at my daughters wedding, this L.O. is for the wedding album.
Prima "Madeline " Papers feature here. The paper that forms the base of the L.O. is glimmer misted with "Starfish"and then stamped  to create more depth, for more details please refer to USTREAM recording.

This colours of this L.O. were inspired by this weeks colour combination  at
 Color Combos Galore
 I used the sketch from the Get Creative blog...and my title was inspired from the blog,                           Bird is the Word
Here are some details....oh yes I must tell you that the buttons and the styled label were inspired from the lessons on Miss Arts Papercrafting School

Another L.O.

Hi Girls.
I am very happy ,because yesterday I managed to eventually scrap these photos that I had printed  last year....I knew that I wanted to make a collage with them, my crazy family having summer fun!
I used the colors from this weeks Color Combos Galore and the sketch from Sassy Lil'Sketches ok I used a little artistic license on this one!

Here is the color combo and the sketch that I used.......

Little Things

Hi there my Friends.
We must always remember that it is the little things in live that count,the little please and thank-you,the smile.....
In my case the little thing that gave me pleasure on Friday was finding unbleached coffee filters....perfect for flowers,I thought!!

So this week-end I made a card for the Get Creative card challenge, which was to decorate a card using 6 embellishments.
Here is my card......

It goes without saying that I made my own flowers using the Tattered Florals die and I used a napkin pasted onto cardstock for the base of my card.

Summer is here, lugage is  out, and much paking is happening ,maybe that is why tags are all the range at the moment.....
Simon Says Stamp and Show wants some tags as does the Get Creative Blog.
Here is a L.O. that I made with an old photo of Raphaella.

I used Nadias' sketch from Bird is the Word as well as the word AMAZING
The Get Creative challenge was to decorate and use more than one tag as an embellishment....my tags are decorated with beach toys, the spade is made from re-cycled  packaging. ....Please note the toilet paper butterfly that I made ages ago !

June the 1st...

Hi there my Scrapbooking Friends.
Firstly ,have a good month!! ca you believe  we are in the middle of 2011...
get yourselves a cup of coffee this is a long post.
Yesterday afternoon I was wondering what to work on ,on USTREAM on my show Zeffy Scraps with Freinds  so I did some serious blog hopping and I felt challenged by numerous things.....so I decided to challenge myself and combine the various challenges into one layout!!
Here is the L.O.

Butterfly Kisses was inspired by the beautiful Gabrielle papers from Bo Bunny and their challenge on their blog to do a L.O. inspired by fabric.....I loved this photo and my inspiration came from the girls sashes!!
You might wonder what the next photo is all about?? Read on....

Well it all started with the Simon Says Stamp and Show blog that wanted us to show our favourite stamp...the result will not be entered !!!
I have always admired the Color Combos Galore challenge,and I loved the colors this month ,here they are..

So I used the colors in my L.O. and while browsing on this site, I went onto Helena Virpi's blog, where I discovered Studio L3 and Linda is responsible for the experiments that happened last night, her Grungy Monday celebrates the great TIM HOLTZ we had to use a technique TIM used on his Christmas tag in 2007!!
The conclusion is I stamped with my favourite stamp...embossed,dabbed,rubbed,,,,,made a boo boo,,,,used gel medium and gesso ....embossed, dabbed, rubbed!!!  I came to the conclusion that my stamp had a very intricate pattern (That is why I love it!) for this technique and maybe my background should have been black! As Tim suggested....but I used the all the samples anyway ,to make background paper,flowers and leaves for my L.O.

And lastly, I want to take this opportunity to celebrate and thank, all of the Scrappers and Artists out there is" Scrappy -Cyber -World" that inspire me daily.....thank-you, I salute you!

A Card

Hi there friends.
Yesterday I spent the afternoon making some cards.
Here is one that I made for the Get Creative card challenge.I used a scrap of Echo Park paper and a piece of my Minds Eye. I did not follow the sketch faithfully, I moved the horizontal line vertically, because I wanted to use the litle border that I  had lying around, not to mention the rose and the die cut heart, they too were made for a L.O and were never used! So we can safely say this catd was made from scraps!

It is amazing to see how far a piece of patterned paper can go!
I also made a little card gift set for my friend HBH...will post the pics later.

Friday frenzy!!

Hi there friends.
I have been lying low...is the least that I can say! Without wanting to winge,I will quickly tell you that an aweful week has just gone by. Firstly a close friend of ours is very ill....and,we have been in a cyber freeze as our Sony pc went into a complete black-out!!!!
Yesterday I did manage to STREAM.and make a double page L.O. I originally wanted to scrap a photo from our recent trip th Cyprus....only to discover that all those pics are gone!!!
Here is the result.

I used Websters Pages "Spring Market"and photos from a very special holiday with my sisters and our children as well as our cousins, at my Mom's village Agios Konstantinos in Samos.
They had planned two surprises for me to celebrate my 50th....one being a Champagne Sunset Party....and the other an evening cruise...My Life is good...thank the Lord!
I would go back to Samos with my siblings any time!!
I will submit this L.O. for 2 challenges one being for Bird is the Word word challenge and for the first challenge on the new Greek site Heart2Craft.

Boys Wallet.

Hi there Scrapbooking Friends.
Hope you all had a lovely week-end...
A quick post to tell you about my streaming tonight on Zeffy Scraps with Friends and about the Greek show tomorrow night on Zeffy Scraps on USTREAM
Firstly seeing that it is getting warmer and we are more out and about both shows will now begin a little later, 22H00 GMT+2.
To-night I will be making a wallet for my nephew Nicholas.....you all know that I love to scrap with scraps! So I will be using craft paper from a old shopping bag and all the decorations will be from the Tim Holtz Ideology Range.. here  is the stash for the project.

Tomorrow night I will be completing the album I stated last week on Zeffy Scraps to house my 30x30cm L.O.s. The show on Wednesday night is in Greek, but I do answer any questions asked by scrappers that do not speak Greek, in English ,so join us if you wish.
Ok gals that is it for now...off to sew some curtains for a gazebo...summer here we come!

Some old photos

Hi there girls I have just finished off 2 L.O. that I started yesterday for the monthly challenges on Life on the {Scrap}Beach.
 I will start with Challenge #3 we were to use 3 colours at right angles to each other on the colour wheel..I used muted colours of green ,blue and red.,the red being almost a purple and the green an olive.
Yesterday was my eldest daughters' first wedding anniversary....I have had the photos lying in an envelope, so this L.O. will be one of the pages in the wedding album that I will make for myself, that is why it has no title!

Used Prima "Madelaine" and some lace from her wedding dress. The die cut in the top corner is their initials as they were printed on their wedding invites.
The second L.O. is for Challenge #2 ,we were to use 2 old photos as they were, this suited me just fine as my printer is out of ink...the first photo is my DH and iI in the 90's don't you just love the hair! I wish I had kept those buttons when I threw out the white jacket!!
The second photo is taken in December 2003 at The Saxon Hotel , in Johannesburg which, at the time Nelson Mandela was released from prison, was a private home owned by a millionaire of the motor indusrty. Nelson Mandela stayed there while writing his book Long Road To Freedom .

Mothers Day

Hi my dear Scrapbooking Friends,
I hope that you all had a good Sunday and to the moms out there a good Mothers Day. I had an interesting day reflecting on the past...the past year seeing that today is my Daughter's 1st. wedding anniversery, I am busy with a L.O with a wedding photo, will show you that tomorrow.
I also thought a lot about the long passed today especially of my dear Mom who passed on 20 years ago, and it still hurts to think about her, so when Kathryn from On the {Scrap}Beach challenged us to make a L.O. about Mother I decided to scrap the last photo taken of my Mom.

A last word for today, love and appreciate your mothers,they love you more than anybody else on this earth, tell them that you love them!

National Scrapbooking Day

Hi there scrappers..
Happy Scrapbooking day!!! I am writing this post as I sit here with all my scrapbuddies....I invited 10 of my first scrapbooking pals to my home today...10 only because more can't fit...sorry girls.

This morning I had a brain-wave and I decided to make a quick mini to record todays' crop. So at 12h00 I did a USTREAM session. I made a toilet paper mini, with lots of pockets.
I have asked my guests to decorate a tag for me and write me a little note....
It goes without saying that I have taken lots of photos...the album has space for 4 6x8cm photos.
As soon as I have printed the photos (printer out of ink!)I will do a you You Tube video,most probably on Monday.
My friend Lena has a challenge on her shop's Enjoy Scrapping blog to do a L.O. that says Enjoy Scrapping, I did a L.O. see previous posts and her second challenge is to make a mini....
That is it for now ladies....off to chat and scrap some more....

I am in a complete scrapzzy this week!!! ( Zeffy in a scrapping frenzy! )
Yes dear friends another L.O. done, on Zeffy Scraps last night.
My dear friend Irini on Get Creative  dared us to show our age!! I am showing it, here and dare I say feeling my age too these days!!(need to get myself to a gym real fast.)

I used the sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches ,which I loved....today is the last day for challenge submissions.

Some of my favourite things.....

Hi there Friends.
Firstly I would like to welcome my new followers... and I would also like to thank you all for your lovely comments and your good wishes for my Raphaella...
As you may all have noticed I LOVE SCRAPPING!!
It is a hobby thay I enjoy thoroughly , it gives me a good sense of "being"  I am sure you all know exactly what I am talking about....
This Saturday 7 May is National Scrapbooking Day, so many great things are on the go...
This is my L.O. for the Enjoy Scrapping blog, a Greek blog. that challenged us to make a blog with the title ENJOY SCRAPPING.
I decided to make a layout that expresses my current state, where I crop, what my favourite products are ect...in fact I could not fit more of  fav ourite goodies into the second photo!!

The L.O. is pretty busy,that is because I have so many things that I love to use when I scrap....I used the sketch from Once Upon A Sketch as my guide to making this page.
The flowers used  I made this week-end so they are fresh out the garden!! I used a strip of paper from my very first paper kit....my very first papers that I loved! They were Basic Grey "Romani" collection...I also used pretty patterns from magazines at the beginning...I wanted to use one of those as you can see  on Zeffy Scraps with Friends, but at the end I scrapped the idea(excuse the pun!)
Please ecxuse the wonky layout ...paper was painted and sprayed....
I wish you all a fun week filled with lots and lots of scrapping...enjoy all the challenges that are happening.

A Piece of Cake

Hi there Friends.
As you all know my baby turned 21 on Easter Sunday...Saturday was a busy day baking and preparing,so late on Saturday night I needed to work out a way to decorate Raphaella's cake. the quickest way for me was to use my Sizzix Tattered Florals and some alluminium...
I started this lay-out on USTREAM  on Zeffy Scraps and I have just finished it. I used Dovecraft paper called Piece of Cake and decorated my L.O with the cake decorations......I used the sketch from Once Upon A Sketch I have secret journaling in the pocket behind the photo....one pulls it out using the bracket as a tab.And I have many many reasons to scrap this photo....believe you me.

You will notice the little heart buttons, those I made....so I hope that the DT on Simon Says stamp and Show like them!
And lastly seeing that 21 is the beginning of a new phase in my babies' life I thought that the girls at Bird is the Word would like to see this LO too.
Girls love and leave you I have about 15 young adults coming for dinner so i need to go and get my food ready..

Today my cousin Paris and his wife Miranda Baptised their 4th baby,  Photini, a beautiful little girl....this is my gift to her.

 I used Echo Park "be Mine" paper kit...Prima flowers and Theresa Collins chipboard pieces...the vintage pictures are from Heartwarming Vintage.The pram is from a Websters Lullaby Lane.

A quick post to wish you all a Blessed Easter

My morning started very early today, I quickly made these two candles for myself and for my daughter Raphaella who is turning 21 tomorrow.Then we went to morning Mass for Holy Communion,

When we got back I started making our easter cakes called Tsourekia, I made 3 batches ,because I am giving at least 12 away in easter hampers.....this is what my kitchen looks like just now.....

Anyway need to fly....oh yes... candle has Sizzix bird and some SEI papers  I think??? will confirm
