Valentines Chocolate box

Hi there girls.
I hope that you are all well, and that you did not eat too many chocolates on Valentines day!
I ate almost the whole box of these Lindt chocies in November last year, I thought that the box was so cute I kept it, I have a pink one too...yes I ate those too with the help of hubby and a friend.
This year I thought that I would use the box for a mini for my hubby for Valentines day. Seeing that the tin was re-cycled I used a dishwashing tablet container for the corrugated board and some packaging for the other two pages.I wet the board and removed the top layer of cardboard, at least some of it. I then cut hearts out of tissue paper and some sweet wrappers, for the front page. I also added some pink acrylic paint and then I Mod-podged all 3 pages
My papers are K&CO Rough and Tumble and Prima.

As You Can se there are a lot of tags and secret journaling spots, there is even a love letter...that is where I wrote all that I loved about Pano!!!

I don't know if you noticed but I kept embellishments to a minimun due to space restrictions of the tin.
That is all for now girls, my son has gone ski-ing and has taken the camera that I do my videos with, so I guess the recording of various projects will have to wait till after his return.
I wish all my fellow Orthodox scrappers a good Lent.
All the best

Good evening Ladies.
As we say here in Greece, I wish you all a good week and an even better month!
On saturday we had a crop in Athens, and I attended some of the lessons. The following lay-outs are what we did during Elina's one lesson.
She first taght us how to erase a background (without Photoshop)  We only used some water and a paint brush and after some rubbing we removed the top layer of colour off the photo, and then we added another background with acrylic paints. One can add all sorts of things, your imagination can run wild!

Elina emphesised continuously that we should not be afraid to TEAR up our precious paper....And this is what we did in the next layout, we let rip, we inked and curled and this is the result.

I finished these two layouts today I hope you like them, let me know what you think.
Thats all for now folks, keep well and have a great month !

I Love 2 Scrap

Hi there ladies,
I wanted to quickly share with you this top that I scrapped for our crop tomorrow morning...sorry this morning....in 9 hours time!!! It is really great to have the opportunity to meet up with all the Greek scrappers...they are so talented!
Anyway I bought the top on sale and I had a lot of tiny buttons, that were given to me by Vicky and Lena, and as I don't tend to use buttons on my L.Os I decided in the store that I would sew the buttons along the collar. Whilst I was sewing on the buttons I thought I would take the whole project a step further. So I used my cuttlebig die to cut out the word 'love' and my sizzlets to cut out the rest.I used some felt,by the way the cuttlebug die made a clean cut,the rest of the letters I had to cut out with a pair of scissors. The 2 was cut free-hand.I then decorated the letters with some dimensional paint and glitter and then stuck them on with some German fabric glue.
Thats all for now, and if I am not too exhaused after tomorrows fun and games I will post photos of the mini that I made for Carlene....she should be receiving it any day this week.
Ttfn, going to sleep so that I can be all shiny eyed and bushy tailed for tomorrows crop.
Love

Another Month Goes By!

Hi there ladies,
Well its almost time to get back into daily routine, my life is still so hectic. I never seem to have enough time to do the things the I love. Anyway yesterday I spent the morning scrapping and I did some lay-outs for the January Challenge on Life on the {Scrap} Beach

Challenge #1 was Resolutions for 2010.Quit Smoking...do not use black, white or grey in your lay-out.
My numbers 2010 look grey in the photo they are actually silver foil that has been inked with cranberry alcohol ink.

Challenge #2 Resolutions for 2010 Quit Drinking.....use no ink!  Difficult for me because I love inking everything!! I used fibre, ribbon, flowers and bling to add colour.

Challenge #4 was  Spend More Time with Family...Something that I have neglected slightly since I have started scrapping! This is a picture taken, just before we set up our christmas tree this passed December.

This Last Challenge #8 is the L.O. that I actually made first because I knew straight away what Iwanted to do, I used only die cuts, alphas and paper that were already cut.  This is why I Love the {Scrap} Beach.

I hope that you all have a wonderful week...I am off to tidy my home, make lunch and try and complete my Mini for my swap partner Charlene...its getting there!!
Bye for now ...keep well

This is a L.O. that I had worked out in my mind well before Christmas. We were challenged at http://scrapgreece.ning.com/ to do a layout using gesso and stamps and also to make our own paper using stamps that we have coloured for the December challenge. Anyway with the mad Christmas rush I did not get to scrap this page on time for the challenge ,but I made it non the less last night. I used a christmas card that is a  rare find these days, it picture the birth of Christ. It is a photo of the iconography  on one of the walls of a church in Panorama,Thessalonika.
I used Tim Holtz masks and stamps, that I coloured with Perfect Pearlst. The corner stamp is Inkandinkado and I used a 3D glimmer paint to make the gold dots. The little dove is also a stamp that I embossed with black. The dies are Cuttlebug.
Wishing you all the best for 2010.

Gingerbread card.

Hi Ladies,
My daughter wanted me to make her a card to send to America to her fiance's God-daughters,they are 4 little girls.Anyway the idea was to make a composition with Gingerbread men that each little girls could have as her own. then Faye,  my daughter said why don't you make them hold hands and this is what turned out . A gingerbread garland,I then added an extra tag for the wishes as we did not want to write on the back of the little figures in case we ruin them.
I hope that you have all done your baking and decorating and are now enjoying your festive homes.
I will be away for a few days, will catch up again on Sunday God willing.
Oh by the way we are going to have a crop again on Sunday ....what fun to see some of my new friends again.
Bye for a while.
Peace and good cheer to all

A winner

Hi girls
I am so excited to be one of the winners for #4 Challenge at Scrapbookers in Greece We had to make our own flowers and as I believe in trying to use what I have around me and to re-cycle I used some netting that was around a wine bottle and some chocolate wrappers, who can guess what they are? This is what I came up with.

I made this L.O. on Sunday afternoon after lunch. I must admit I was very inspired after the crop that we had been to on saturday and Elina gave us a lesson we did a L.O.  with gesso and stamped paper. I used 3D paint on my re-cycled cardboard box because I had no gesso at home.. The paper was out of Elinas scrap paper box, it is from Tiffany's from WRMK. I used a Tim Holtz mask and some brown dabber paint for the background. Chipboard letters are embossed in black. The little bit of brown around my net flower is a Sizzix die cut ,I used plain brown cardstock which I stamped in gold ,then I used some Modge Podge with a little bit of orange acrylic paint, but I wiped that off straight-away and then added another layer of modge. when the modge had dried I added some glimmer mist.
I dedicated this L.O. to my Hubby  Pano who says he will frame it and put it up.He is at the AEK soccer match at the Olympic Stadium with the rest of the family at the moment, Just wait till they get home and hear the news.....they are really very supportive.
Thats all for now folks.
God Bless.
