A Card

Hi there friends.
Yesterday I spent the afternoon making some cards.
Here is one that I made for the Get Creative card challenge.I used a scrap of Echo Park paper and a piece of my Minds Eye. I did not follow the sketch faithfully, I moved the horizontal line vertically, because I wanted to use the litle border that I  had lying around, not to mention the rose and the die cut heart, they too were made for a L.O and were never used! So we can safely say this catd was made from scraps!

It is amazing to see how far a piece of patterned paper can go!
I also made a little card gift set for my friend HBH...will post the pics later.

Friday frenzy!!

Hi there friends.
I have been lying low...is the least that I can say! Without wanting to winge,I will quickly tell you that an aweful week has just gone by. Firstly a close friend of ours is very ill....and,we have been in a cyber freeze as our Sony pc went into a complete black-out!!!!
Yesterday I did manage to STREAM.and make a double page L.O. I originally wanted to scrap a photo from our recent trip th Cyprus....only to discover that all those pics are gone!!!
Here is the result.

I used Websters Pages "Spring Market"and photos from a very special holiday with my sisters and our children as well as our cousins, at my Mom's village Agios Konstantinos in Samos.
They had planned two surprises for me to celebrate my 50th....one being a Champagne Sunset Party....and the other an evening cruise...My Life is good...thank the Lord!
I would go back to Samos with my siblings any time!!
I will submit this L.O. for 2 challenges one being for Bird is the Word word challenge and for the first challenge on the new Greek site Heart2Craft.

Boys Wallet.

Hi there Scrapbooking Friends.
Hope you all had a lovely week-end...
A quick post to tell you about my streaming tonight on Zeffy Scraps with Friends and about the Greek show tomorrow night on Zeffy Scraps on USTREAM
Firstly seeing that it is getting warmer and we are more out and about both shows will now begin a little later, 22H00 GMT+2.
To-night I will be making a wallet for my nephew Nicholas.....you all know that I love to scrap with scraps! So I will be using craft paper from a old shopping bag and all the decorations will be from the Tim Holtz Ideology Range.. here  is the stash for the project.

Tomorrow night I will be completing the album I stated last week on Zeffy Scraps to house my 30x30cm L.O.s. The show on Wednesday night is in Greek, but I do answer any questions asked by scrappers that do not speak Greek, in English ,so join us if you wish.
Ok gals that is it for now...off to sew some curtains for a gazebo...summer here we come!

Some old photos

Hi there girls I have just finished off 2 L.O. that I started yesterday for the monthly challenges on Life on the {Scrap}Beach.
 I will start with Challenge #3 we were to use 3 colours at right angles to each other on the colour wheel..I used muted colours of green ,blue and red.,the red being almost a purple and the green an olive.
Yesterday was my eldest daughters' first wedding anniversary....I have had the photos lying in an envelope, so this L.O. will be one of the pages in the wedding album that I will make for myself, that is why it has no title!

Used Prima "Madelaine" and some lace from her wedding dress. The die cut in the top corner is their initials as they were printed on their wedding invites.
The second L.O. is for Challenge #2 ,we were to use 2 old photos as they were, this suited me just fine as my printer is out of ink...the first photo is my DH and iI in the 90's don't you just love the hair! I wish I had kept those buttons when I threw out the white jacket!!
The second photo is taken in December 2003 at The Saxon Hotel , in Johannesburg which, at the time Nelson Mandela was released from prison, was a private home owned by a millionaire of the motor indusrty. Nelson Mandela stayed there while writing his book Long Road To Freedom .

Mothers Day

Hi my dear Scrapbooking Friends,
I hope that you all had a good Sunday and to the moms out there a good Mothers Day. I had an interesting day reflecting on the past...the past year seeing that today is my Daughter's 1st. wedding anniversery, I am busy with a L.O with a wedding photo, will show you that tomorrow.
I also thought a lot about the long passed today especially of my dear Mom who passed on 20 years ago, and it still hurts to think about her, so when Kathryn from On the {Scrap}Beach challenged us to make a L.O. about Mother I decided to scrap the last photo taken of my Mom.

A last word for today, love and appreciate your mothers,they love you more than anybody else on this earth, tell them that you love them!

National Scrapbooking Day

Hi there scrappers..
Happy Scrapbooking day!!! I am writing this post as I sit here with all my scrapbuddies....I invited 10 of my first scrapbooking pals to my home today...10 only because more can't fit...sorry girls.

This morning I had a brain-wave and I decided to make a quick mini to record todays' crop. So at 12h00 I did a USTREAM session. I made a toilet paper mini, with lots of pockets.
I have asked my guests to decorate a tag for me and write me a little note....
It goes without saying that I have taken lots of photos...the album has space for 4 6x8cm photos.
As soon as I have printed the photos (printer out of ink!)I will do a you You Tube video,most probably on Monday.
My friend Lena has a challenge on her shop's Enjoy Scrapping blog to do a L.O. that says Enjoy Scrapping, I did a L.O. see previous posts and her second challenge is to make a mini....
That is it for now ladies....off to chat and scrap some more....

I am in a complete scrapzzy this week!!! ( Zeffy in a scrapping frenzy! )
Yes dear friends another L.O. done, on Zeffy Scraps last night.
My dear friend Irini on Get Creative  dared us to show our age!! I am showing it, here and dare I say feeling my age too these days!!(need to get myself to a gym real fast.)

I used the sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches ,which I loved....today is the last day for challenge submissions.
As I said in my previous post Saturday is National Scrapbooking Day, some of the Greek Scrappers are meeting at Metro Mall for coffee on Friday afternoon....if you are a scrapper and want to join us,please do so..if you can't .....Scrap and have FUN!!

Some of my favourite things.....

Hi there Friends.
Firstly I would like to welcome my new followers... and I would also like to thank you all for your lovely comments and your good wishes for my Raphaella...
As you may all have noticed I LOVE SCRAPPING!!
It is a hobby thay I enjoy thoroughly , it gives me a good sense of "being"  I am sure you all know exactly what I am talking about....
This Saturday 7 May is National Scrapbooking Day, so many great things are on the go...
This is my L.O. for the Enjoy Scrapping blog, a Greek blog. that challenged us to make a blog with the title ENJOY SCRAPPING.
I decided to make a layout that expresses my current state, where I crop, what my favourite products are ect...in fact I could not fit more of  fav ourite goodies into the second photo!!

The L.O. is pretty busy,that is because I have so many things that I love to use when I scrap....I used the sketch from Once Upon A Sketch as my guide to making this page.
The flowers used  I made this week-end so they are fresh out the garden!! I used a strip of paper from my very first paper kit....my very first papers that I loved! They were Basic Grey "Romani" collection...I also used pretty patterns from magazines at the beginning...I wanted to use one of those as you can see  on Zeffy Scraps with Friends, but at the end I scrapped the idea(excuse the pun!)
Please ecxuse the wonky layout ...paper was painted and sprayed....
I wish you all a fun week filled with lots and lots of scrapping...enjoy all the challenges that are happening.
