The Two Of Us

This morning whilst having coffe I decided to do a  L.O. for The Candy Shoppe Designs 'striptease 101" challenge.
I should call my blog "I love to collect ...Crap" !!  I am the worlds worse hoarder I save everything..even tiny scraps of paper for the day that I decide to make my own hand paper....Maybe next summer..dream on.

Anyway I have this box of strips that I thought I must use.I was very strict with myself and I only used what was in the box.......the only thing that was new were the hearts from the basic Grey Cupcake collection.Please note that the swirls was just the leftover bit off the embellishment sheet!!

I decided to scrap a pic of my L.H.and myself on the day of my birthday.....this is when I was still deciding what to use....I usually work amidst chaos!

So this is the final product "The Two Of Us" I decided to draw some flowers and decorate with some acrylic paints.

Hi there.

I must admit that since I have got back home after our summer holidays I have not done anything
creative....Only housework and generally trying to tidy up this house. We will be painting the lounge and kitchen on Monday so I am busy busy.Today I tackled my scrapping area.. you can't believe the mess it was in,i bought some more storage boxes and reshuffled and repacked, maybe I will have some pics for you tomorrow. Space is a big issue in Athens...

Anyway I thought I would share some photos, the delicious cup-cakes  my sister Vickie made for my daughter Raphaella, she decorated them with sliced up marshmellows.The other photos are of our traditional chocolate birthday cake, the only thing that changes is the decoration. I used Smatries and hundreds and thousands in the shape of a star. The other I decorated with the Sizzix bird die cut and a border die Stars with Swirls.

Finding Zeffy

Hi there friends.

I have have not been around because I am  in Kefalonia, a Greek island ,with my husband, L.H. in bloggers terms? We have been visiting our youngest daughter Raphaella who is working in a hotel in Skala for the summer.
I have had a lot of terms to think and get inspired, it is so beautiful here!

I celebrated my 51st birthday yesterday so on Friday I decided to finish my 50 page in my new art journal ....L.H. took a photo whilst I was drawing! so here it is.....

Before we left Athens I  made this card set, it was inspired by Jenn Travis I saw it on her video Aloha Friday. I think that this will be a lovely idea for christmas and birthday gifts..This will be one of the lessons that I will teach this winter God willing.

Our Trees

Its Friday and August is rolling to a close, enjoy the last days of vacations.
I did a challenge at The Studio website,we had to copy a book cover and scrap an inanimate object...I don't think trees are inanimate!! But anyway its done now.
I hated the fire, I love trees. I had a photo of the Acropolis, taken at such an odd angle so as to photograph the tree too, so I decided to scrap that.
I used a plain orange cardstock.I expressed my anger with black,red and some yellow paint. I cut  flames out of magazine papers, some Basic Grey, Fusion and Well Worn and the daisy paper is from a Canon download.I tried to liven up the fire with some pigment inks from Brilliance, Cosmic Copper and Galaxy Gold.. I stamped the trees, to give L.O. a green touch.

These are some pictures of the completed FUN album,that I made to donate to my friend Helen for her Christmas Bazaar.

Hello there...I am working on this blog and ironing out some of the many problems...getting there,technology does not come easy to me!
Anyway I cleaned and scrubbed my home yesterday, got rid of all the ash off my balcony and windows,they will stay clean until the next gust of wind blows more ash our way.....that is how it will go.Our green lungs have been burned!! Acres and acres of wasteland........
I am zeffy and one of the many things that I love are trees beautiful old trees, thats why I was so sad this week-end.

Another thing that I love is scrapbooking and seeing that my balcony was clean I took some photos this morning .As you can see I now have a profile picture . During the fires on Sunday whilst watching T.V. I made my Art Journal, I am not good at art but I will try and express myself through the medium.
I used two pads of Aquarelle A5 art paper,cut off the eges,bound then with dental floss.For the front and back covers I used the cardstock from the backs of the art pads, which I then covered with a big sheet of paper from my decoupage stash an Australian paper Finmark"posters' love the Art Deco look.

Ash Sunday

The Fires are still burning! North Eastern Attica is ablaze.....a tragic situation for a city that needs oxygen.....Anyway I was planning to photograph some of my projects this morning ,but my balcony is covered in ash, even though I live 25+kilometres away from the fires,so I guess it will have to wait till the fires stop and I can give said balcony a good wash!

I am connected!

Hi there everybody,I am very happy because this blog is starting to look like something!!I may even publish it tonight......Even though it is not perfect.I have been busy with various things these past 4 weeks. It is summer in Greece,actually almost the end of summer.

Anyway we were away a lot, but I did take some scrapping things with me and made one or two things. will photograph them tomorrow and post them later.

I will post some cards that I made in June, I am a new hand at card making these are my first couple of cards made for friends that were visiting and had birthdays whilst in Athens.

Last night I was surfing the net and came across a blog called http://Teesha's circus I really loved her work and was very inspired to star an art journal,even though my drawing skills are mediocre. So now my dining room table is full of paper because I have decided to bind my very own hand made journal.will post pictures soon.

It is 3:45 and i am still trying to figure this blog set up????
