A Post On Wednesday.

Hello..
Today I want to say a special hello to all of the crafters that love to spy on peoples desks...yes I am talking about all the lovely people on WOYWW.
A quick apology before I share my desk....I have not been around and my computer time is very limited due to a very sensitive eye, as a result of an operation that I had late last year.....it is getting better, but very very slowly.
Now the scrapping area...some big changes.....I swapped up my 2 small Expedit shelves for this big chest of drawers the Mandal from Ikea.

The Mandal was a bitch to put up....I reinforced the drawers with extra screws....then the whole frame was rickety so I added four black corner brackets on the egdes....you can see one in the photo...so we now have a grungy result. But.....the good news is I now have easy peesy accessibility to my goodies.

On my desk you see a page that is to be posted to Scrappin Happyxo in Australia.
Keep well and stay posted I am planning to do a video of my craft area this week....
Please forgive me if I do not leave a comment on your blog....
Lots of love.
Zeffy

  1. Well done for putting that furniture together yourself, and it is a shame that you needed to reinforce it so soon, not as well made as you would expect from Ikea, perhaps. My storage is mainly in units filled with Really Useful boxes, which allows me the chance to see inside each box, but still keep the dust out of them. I love the use of that Lazy Susan on your cupboard. Have a good week. xx Maggie #21

  3. Hope your eye heals faster! And good job on the Mandal! It's not fun when the manufacturer doesn't quite make an item sturdy enough for use. Happy WOYWW!

  4. I cannot imagine what it might be like to have eye issues. That would do me in! I love your new Mc Guyvered drawers, they look like they would hold a LOT!

  5. Glad to hear you eye is coming along. Must be hard not being able to jump right in when you want to do something. Hope you have a speedy recovery! Love your ikea draw! Most of my stamp room is from Ikea. I have my desk and a wall full of their bookcases and small draw on wheels. Your piece is coming along great, I see distress ink and butterflies, two of my fans! Enjoy the day! Winnie#68

  9. What would we crafters do without Ikea? Unusual for their stuff that it was so rickety though.Almost all my craft room stuff is from them, and Really Useful Boxes! Have a great week, Hugs Shaz #31 XX

  12. great looking craft area Zeffy. I love all the storage and it looks like it is working well for you. I went with two Alex from IKEA and stacked them on top of the other making a tower. You asked me about Life Book 2014 and whether you could still join. The answer is yes. My daughter just joined yesterday and it is a self paced program so you just start when you get a chance to do each lesson. This is my 3rd year and I love learning the new stuff and seeing how others are doing it. Hope you join it is so fun and interactive! See you nest week Vickie aka Okienurse
